Freestyle Modern Movers - Freestyle Modern Movers is open to boys and girls. It incorporates modern, jazz, and street dance styles and is an important stepping stone in dance technique, coordination and flexibility. I choreograph routines to up-to-date music to help bring our musicality, timing and rhythmical expression. A fun and vibrant class set in a controlled environment. It is cleverly designed to cater for children with and without dance experience. This class is available for 2 different age groups (see above).

Please note that private lessons are also available in 1 hour or 30 minute sessions and tailored to your own specific dance requirements for adults or children. If you're new to dance and are worried about dancing in front of others in a class, private lessons are a great way to improve your dance skills and confidence. They are also very effective for those already taking classes who want to speed up their progress. For children who are keen to enter national or international dance competitions I offer specialist competitive training in the form of private lessons.

Cost: £5 drop-in and the first class is free!

A word about myself – Lori Silmon.
Qualified teacher and adjudicator with the International Dance Teachers Association. Titles won in my amateur and professional career include Great British and European Freestyle Dance Champion. I recently won 2007 International Carl Allen Performers Award. As well as running the dance school Dance Delicious at movingartsbase, I am a freelance coach for competitors in dance throughout the UK, Ireland, Norway and South Africa.
