movingartsbase is a centre for the performing
arts and holistic therapies, based less than ten minutes walk from
Angel station in north London.
One of few places in London offering unique movement and
health programmes, classes, workshops and treatments (see
what's on), movingartsbase
is a beautifully designed and well-managed centre with chill-out
spaces, kitchens and Wi-Fi access.
We provide affordable, high quality facilities for rehearsal, education, research
and development.
For Hire!
Three spacious sky-lit studios and
five private 1:1 treatment
rooms are offered for hire at reasonable rates
for the practice of performing and healing arts. We operate a sliding
scale of rates and there
is no minimum or ongoing commitment for space hire (subject to
availability).

Music Essences
A transformational Journey, with Katalin Kertész. This workshop is an opportunity to hear the music behind Music Essences, and explore through the music a unique journey encompassing the Cycle of Creation. For more information please see our workshops page.
The Improviser’s Toolbox
A workshop with Al Wunder, Australia's leading teacher of Movement Based Improvisation, will run an exciting 2 day workshop, and 5 day intensive at movingartsbase. The workshop will explore Al’s form of Improvised Movement Theatre, which is unique in its teaching of performance as a means of communication between people. New artworks exhibition at movingartsbase
A new exhibition by photographer Christian Kipp is now on display in the movingartsbase reception area, corridors and treatment rooms. Christian’s exhibition is made up of images from a variety of projects, including nature photographs and images of dancers in rehearsal. More information on our exhibitions page
New classes programme for 2008
For our new year programme we have many of our previous classes returning plus
several new ones, including a creative class for children, a new Thursday Yoga
session, a Dance Theatre Masterclass run by C-12, Body Part Mythology and Cuban

If you are NHS Staff and hold an NHS Medic Care Staff
Discount Scheme ‘Gold Card’, or are a family member holding
a ‘Gold Card’, you are eligible to up to 20% discount

Discounted treatments for professional dancers
Are you a professional dancer in need of treatment for an injury,
or a general mind and body overhaul? Some of the therapists practicing
at movingartsbase are offering low cost clinics for professional
dancers who are members of Equity, The Place Artist Development
or Dance UK. Click on a therapist's profile in the therapies section

Following the success of our last two exhibitions, we have decided
to create an ongoing programme of visual arts at movingartsbase.

Low Cost Holistic Massage Clinics only £15
movingartsbase and the Academy of Natural Health and are delighted
to be able to offer a low cost advanced student massage clinics
for only £15 for a 1 hour holistic massage. Through the course
of these clinics sessions, practitioner-level Academy students
get the rare opportunity to experience for themselves what it is
like to work as a professional massage therapist as an integral
part of their training - and members of the public get to receive
quality holistic bodywork at a fraction of what they would otherwise
have to pay.
The majority of the clinics are held during the weekends, with
the occasional clinic occurring on a weekday.
