Holistic
massage therapy
By considering your emotional and spiritual well-being as well as your physical
body, holistic massage helps to restore your natural balance, to bring a sense
of health and wholeness.
Rachel’s approach is to create a treatment for who you are and how you
feel, whatever reason for massage you present. This is achieved by focusing on
symptoms of tension or illness; using intention to determine tone, speed, depth
and intensity; and integrating a range of bodywork techniques and traditions.
A wonderful opportunity to tend to your own needs, holistic massage alleviates
many physical disorders and brings positive changes in your energy. Received
regularly, it helps sustain good health and defend against stress and fatigue.
Originally a translator/editor for international development charities, Rachel
discovered massage with holistic bodywork pioneers, the Academy of Natural Health.
This was a transformative step along a path to natural health and a more holistic
way of life. Qualifying with the Massage Training Institute and International
Therapy Examinations Council, she runs a private practice in north London, and
volunteers massage for people affected by cancer. Her practice is also inspired
by yoga and its basis of ‘union’.
